JASON: Creating an Open, Interoperable Health Data Infrastructure

Last summer, the JASON Advisory Panel held a summer study session on health information exchange (HIE). The JASON is an independent group of scientists that advises the US government on science and technology. Over the years of the JASON’s existence, the group has included 11 Nobel laureates and dozens of members from the National Academy of Sciences. The JASON has prepared recommendations on topics as wide-ranging as wind farms, human performance, and cyber-security.
